The PES1 was an electric street-bike prototype shown by Yamaha as a concept. It used a brushless DC motor fed by lithium-ion batteries inside a monocoque frame, together with a transmission that could be switched between manual and automatic operation. It sat alongside the off-road PED1 and shared its power unit.
